Music Lessons!

Hello blog viewers,

On Wednesday afternoons, Room Seven does music with Mr. Lakatani. When we did it last, we did some drumming, guitar, ukelele, xylophone and some djembe drums. That's some kind of African drum. For me the best part was the drums. Mr Lakatani also runs the Nieuan group for Owai.

About Me

Hi, my name is Jake and I am a student at Owairaka District School. The class that I am in is Room 8 I am a Year Six this year. Next year I will be at Intermediate, and I will be at Avondale Intermediate with my friends Cole and Floyd. I live in Auckland and share a house with my mum, dad, sister and two guinea pigs. My hobbies are playing rugby and soccer. I also like playing my Xbox. As a learner, I am good at typing, reading and maths. The things I struggle with are working by myself and staying on task. My goal for this year is to get faster at typing. I want to aim for about 55 words per minute. I also want to make a goal of staying on task and working more independently. I am looking forward to my rugby season starting because it is the sport that I play and that keeps me fit. I am also looking forward to seeing my friends and family after the lockdown.
